The Arts Council of the Conejo Valley (ACCV) was established in 1969. During its over four decade span, the ACCV has gone through extensive changes in its programs and services. Established as a regional Federation of Arts organization that was formed to promote the community’s cultural development, the ACCV has evolved into a membership support agency that also delivers and co-sponsors many cultural programs.
BreakThrough Student Assistance Program serves all CVUSD students and their families to help students make it through school safely and successfully. Focus is on prevention and early intervention.

A private, non-profit, affordable counseling center providing high quality services to individuals of all ages, couples, and families in a private or group setting.
We meet kids and families at the most challenging times of their lives and help them overcome some of life’s most difficult circumstances – abuse and neglect, complex emotional and behavioral issues, and family crises. We restore hope, help children find joy in daily living, and improve families’ chances at making a better life for themselves and at finding a place in their community where they can be successful. Elegant Gardens Nursery opened September 1st,1999; it was a collective effort among friends. Over 12 years we have grown vastly to meet the gardening and landscaping needs of most of eastern Ventura County. From the start we have provided landscaping materials to contractors, slowly gaining a faithful clientele thru the years. Elegant Gardens Nursery strives to give trade a one stop landscaping resource to build their own elegant gardens!
Established in 1983 as a 501c3 non profit, FOOD Share is a critical member of our community in providing food and support to the hungry of Ventura County. FOOD Share distributes over 9 million pounds of nutritious food per year via our 150+ non-profit partners, government programs, and outreach programs. FOOD Share receives food and monetary donations via individual donations, corporations, foundations, grants, the USDA, and our generous Ag community.

Straight Up Ventura County engages youth and young adults in advocacy and action to reduce underage and binge drinking, impaired driving, prescription drug, marijuana and other drug abuse, and to promote health and wellbeing. Straight Up provides volunteer and community service opportunities for young people (ages 12-25) to make a difference through Social Change Theatre, video production, writing, social media and live presentations.
The Thousand Oaks Art Association (TOAA) is the oldest art membership group in the Conejo Valley. TOAA gives its artists opportunities to exhibit their work and exchange professional information, participate in critiques, attend workshops and lectures, participate in plein air experiences, and attend field trips to museums and other places of artistic interest. Our mission is to promote and develop cultural resources for our community through the spirit of friendship,artistic expression, education and philanthropy.
Thousand Oaks Library Tutorial is an online tutorial and homework help for all students. All subjects provided, including tests prep, career guidance and Gateway, a virtual reference library, designed to make finding materials about educational or homework topics easier.
Public Recreation Community Center designed specifically for 7th-12th grade teens that live in the Conejo Valley. The facility features a gym, soundproof music room, game room, computer lab and more. Programs include a variety of recreational classes, as well as drop-in recreation. This program is administered by Conejo Recreation& Park District, and funded by the City of Thousand Oaks.
The members of the Ventura County Sheriff's Department are committed to safeguard the lives and property of Ventura County residents and respond to public concerns in a manner which promotes neighborhoods free from the fear of crime. This includes a crime prevention department providing School Resource Officers (SRO's) to our secondary schools.
Youth Outreach Program
This unique program helps at-risk teens (Grades 7th-12th) find success with peer social situations, school work and family life. Outreach workers redirect noninvolved teens to positive activities such as recreation, employment, or other service providers. Outreach workers are housed at the Thousand Oaks Teen Center. This program is administered by the Conejo Valley Unified School District and Conejo Recreation & Park District.
The Westlake Village Art Guild is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to further interest and knowledge, self-development, inspiration, stimulation and exchange of ideas in the field of visual arts. Founded in 1969, its member base is comprised of artists and others who not only admire art but have an interest in promoting art education and appreciation in our community.
