After working with Girl Scouts in Santa Barbara we headed up north to Avila Beach! Girls ages 6-17 and 25 adults worked with pen and watercolor to create beautiful pictures of flora and fauna. Composition and unity of art was discussed during this wonderful day of creative expression all to earn their Girl Scout Artist Legacy Badge!
Teachers from Art Trek had a great time at the Girl Scouts Artist Legacy Badge Workshop that took place this past sunday in Santa Barbara!
"Each workshop involves basic problem solving strategies, creative choices, goal setting, project completion, a little art history, and of course, personal and social expression. All learned on the way to earning the Artist Legacy Badge!"
Art Trek had a great time at the EARTHS Halloween Festival this past Saturday, hosted by the awesome parents of the PTA! We saw many spooky and creative costumes, it was so much fun! Students and parents created their very own Dia de los Muertos Cat or Skull to take home and add to their Halloween decorations.

Art Trek had an AWESOME time at the Thousand Oaks Arts Festival this past weekend! We had a ton of community members stop by and create shabori banners, paint wooden blocks and have a great time being artistic! Even honorary co-chairs, Partrick & Catherine Warburton stopped by and painted with us!

Art Trek & The Conejo Valley Arts Council has teamed up to create a delightfully retro float for the 50th Anniversary of the Thousand Oaks Parade!
It will be held this Saturday on Thousand Oaks Blvd from 9:00am-11:00am.
