Thank you St. Aloysius!
We had wonderful field trip with students from St.Aloysius School last Friday! Grades 2nd-8th joined us (144 students!) at our studio to create works of art to bring home to show all their friends and family. Their day consisted of creating Great Works inspired by artist Gabriella Denton, decorating clay critters with googly eyes, designing a mini zentangle and to wrap up a great day; some students hung out and had their lunch outside on the lawn and enjoyed the beautiful weather.
Thank you St. Aloysius for bringing such a wonderful group of kids!

Foster Family Day @ Children's Bureau Los Angeles
Art Trek's director, Nan Young was a guest presenter this past Saturday in Los Angeles at the Children's Bureau for their Foster Family Day & Annual Appreciation Luncheon. A great day where resource parents are recognized for all the amazing work they do for our youth.

March Events at Art Trek
We have our monthly community $5 Friday: Just My Luck! on March 17th. This fun $5 Friday will be a night of creativity inspired by St. Patrick's Day (be sure to wear green!). Create gorgeous mosaic tiles this month at our Cabernet, Canvas & Color Workshop on March 23rd! We all had so much fun this past Friday for our monthly $5 Friday: community art night! Many talented artists joined us on this rainy night and created some amazing works of art inspired by the Chinese New Year!
Casa Pacifica Holiday Celebration
We ended another wonderful year at Art Trek with our Casa Pacifica Holiday Celebration! On Christmas Eve we gathered at our studio with the children of Casa Pacifica and had a massive end of the year celebration. Volunteers, friends, and staff worked hard cooking, stuffing presents, decorating, and making our studio transform into a winter wonderland. Santa and Mrs. Claus made a surprise appearance after their bellies were full and we all joined to sing in and out of tune during holiday carols. The children spent their day getting their faces painted, doing art, decorating cookies, playing games, petting bunnies, and dancing the Macarena. What a hilarious time! It is a magical day of bonding, laughing, and spreading love to others. From afar it may look like just another holiday celebration but up close, this is a heart warming and special day for everyone involved. Everyone leaves with a smile from ear to ear!
